My name is Jocelyn Strickland and I am the founder and creator of Jocelyn Skincare. Here is how my journey started - I would love to share it with you.
As a teenager, I struggled with acne and I took me several years to get it under control. I tried several products but many of them left my skin irritated. I still had acne scars and dark spots that took a very long time to go away and cost hundreds of dollars due to trying so many products. Furthermore, I could barely pronounce any of their ingredients and more importantly few, if any, of these products were intended for dark skin women. This is when the seed was planted for my dream: to someday create natural, healthy skincare products that are beneficial for all types of skin.
I worked in corporate environment for many years for two fortune 500 companies. I gained invaluable insight and experience regarding the personal care industry during my years working for these companies; however, I never forgot about my passion for one day creating my own skincare company.
In 2016, I decided to turn my dream into a reality. I began learning as much as I could about developing natural skincare products; I read books, attended seminars, researched similar products, and consulted with chemists. If I was going to make something with my name on it, I knew it had to meet my exceptionally high standards. Two years into this journey I am proud to say that I have created a product, I firmly stand behind and support. Our products are made in the USA proudly manufactured in New Jersey. We focused on creating products that paraben free, soap free, SLS free, cruelty free and contains natural ingredients.
Lastly, I would like to share with you something I learned being a woman in the personal care industry: there are no products that can make you more beautiful - you are beautiful just the way you are. It’s about educating yourself on the products you use and insuring they are healthy for your skin and developing an effective skincare routine.
